People do not go online looking for your site they go online looking for help.

Include Keywords: anytime you post an article you must research on what people want. Include keywords in your articles so that your article would appear. Assuming you are in the weight loss industry you can write an article about how to lose weight fast. This is an SEO technique which you can use.

Use Social Media Buttons: on your site include social media share buttons on there. So that it can easily be shared and also give away free content or gifts and people would be willing to share.

Comment on Blogs: Commenting on other blogs is one of the effective ways to drive traffic to your site. So if you know of a site that is popular, it would have a lot of views.
